Clinical Mental Health Specialization
I am passionate about creating a supportive, collaborative space where individuals can better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. My path to becoming a therapist began with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, where I developed an interest in the connection between mental health, performance, and overall well-being. I later completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Windsor, which allowed me to expand my experience working with individuals across a range of mental health and life circumstances. My background in both mental health and sport has shaped my interest in helping people build confidence, manage stress, navigate change, and feel more connected to themselves.
Years in Practice
I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor and am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). My experience includes supporting individuals through anxiety, stress, emotional challenges, life transitions, and periods of uncertainty, as well as working with athletes around confidence, performance pressure, motivation, and the mental side of injury and recovery.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and able to be yourself without judgment. Our experiences can shape the way we think, feel, and respond to challenges, and sometimes the strategies that once helped us cope may no longer be serving us in the same way. Together, we can explore these patterns, identify what matters most to you, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
Therapeutic Approaches
My approach is client-centred, collaborative, and strengths-based, with a particular focus on anxiety and sport mental performance. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness-based practices, adapting these strategies to meet each client’s individual needs and goals. My work emphasizes building self-awareness, developing practical coping strategies, and helping clients feel more confident navigating challenges.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, emotional regulation difficulties, confidence and self-esteem concerns, motivation challenges, and life transitions. I also specialize in supporting athletes with performance anxiety, confidence, motivation, focus, mental preparation, identity, injury, and return-to-play. Whether working through everyday stressors or the mental demands of sport, my goal is to help clients develop the skills and confidence to navigate challenges and perform and feel at their best.
